I remember too. Went to the square for a looksee with my friend. Quite a lot of people there, and plenty of police and plainclothes. No fresh protests of course.

I met a backpacker who said he went to watch the flagraising ceremony one morning in April when someone threw a load of political flyers out of a minivan into the crowd. Suddenly the cops were everywhere and were very rough with everyone, clearing them out, foreigners too, and were freaking out about anyone with a camera.
