Earlier this month it was announced that Geng He, the wife of renowned dissident lawyer Gao Zhisheng, had arrived in the US seeking political asylum after her family fled state sponsered persecution on the Mainland
Soon after Geng's arrival in the West Geng gave a series of interviews, as did the US based dissidents who aided Geng arrival. These interviews were broadcast world wide care of the foreign press, but most were prevented from being broadcast on the Mainland by Beijing.
Of course, when Beijing bans something, it usually means that people need to hear it all the more. So, for your listening pleasure, is one of the interviews that Beijing didn't want you to hear care of the British Broadcasting Corporation's "World Service" English language service.
BRILLIANT!!!! AND SO SO GLAD FOR HIS FAMILY BUT NOW EVEN MORE WORRIED ABOUT
HIM.
Thank you for posting this. Human Rights abuse needs to be exposed
wherever it occurs. Even the UK government has been complicit in torture of
'terrorist' suspects. At least we can still expose these abuses here, but
we need to watch our own government very closely.
