Having been informed that Blog City is now going to start enforcing a bandwidth allowance (quota were always there, but were not really enforced), and that ACB is likely to exceed its allowance by a Gig or so every month, it has been decided that ACB is going to have to undergo some streamlining in order to avoid having to pay penalty fees.
At present, a large chunk of this bandwidth is being eaten up by users accessing ACB's HUGE back archive. However, as it would just be plain wrong to delete popular textual content, it has been decided that there will be changes to the way that archived images are managed instead, and that all podcasts must be deleted in order to save bandwidth. ACB's user interface is also being streamlined a little (it's only a few bytes, but it soon adds up when a million people access it). So, if you notice some links vanishing, do not be concerned.
Incidentally, any podcasts you have do not count towards your bandwidth
quota at present.
I'm preparing for the future, plus they weren't that successful in the
first place so it's a good time to spring clean them out.
Hey ACB, I don't know if you've considered it, but you could just get your
own hosting and forgo ever worrying about it. My site(s) allow me 250GB of
server space and 2,500GB of traffic a month all for less than $6/mo.
