The Death of a China Blog

posted Saturday, 27 August 2005

Angry Chinese Blogger is sad to announce that, due to the blocking of Blog-City's web service in a number of regions of China, the proprietoress of Life in Jiangxi has been forced to retire her blog.

Fortunately for those of you who enjoy taking the voyeuristic peep into the strange life of a single white women living somewhere in China, the blogger formerly known as Life in Jiangxi has decided to move to a new domain rather than shut up shop entirely. So, until Beijing blocks it, you can now catch the further adventures (or should that be misadventures) of one foreigner and her dog at their new home Life After Jiangxi.

Thanks for the announcement!

Just two points: Firstly mine is not the only homeless blog right now. Blog-city was used widely by a large number of Chinese bloggers, writing both in Chinese and in English. Among my face-to-face friends (as opposed to internet ones) I can think of four homeless blogs. Guess blog-city's loss will be msn's gain. Sigh.

Secondly: I'm not 100% sure I'll be staying with blogware. I've got a month to decide though, so I'll keep you posted.
